Calling all crochet queens, knitting ninjas, embroidery artists, and cross-stitch champs — this one’s for you! Thread Heads is our new monthly hangout where yarn lovers and stitchers of all kinds can gather to work on projects, swap tips, show off creations, and enjoy some cozy community time. Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just threading your first needle, come unwind, create, and connect.
Bonus: our in-house Tea Bar will be open to keep your creative energy steeping strong.
Bring your current project and your good vibes, and we’ll provide the rest!
Restroom Access Notice (12/5–2/5)
Please be aware that the Oak Lawn Branch restrooms will be closed for renovation from December 5 through February 5. Restrooms will not be available anywhere inside the branch during this time.
If you need to use a restroom, you will need to leave the library to find one elsewhere. Nearby businesses may restrict restroom use to customers only, so we strongly recommend using a restroom before you arrive for any program or event.
Leaving the building during a one-hour program may limit your ability to participate fully, as we are not able to pause or repeat program content. If you do not feel comfortable attending without a restroom available on-site for the full duration, please consider refraining from registering so that others who are able to participate under these conditions may have the opportunity to attend.
We appreciate your understanding as we complete these necessary improvements.
