References to herbs are abundant in Shakespeare's works and he is rumored to have been a gardener himself. Author of the book Botanical Shakespeare, Gerit Quealy, will discuss herbs that you can grow in your own garden and their connection to Shakespeare's writings.  

Author Gerit Quealy began her career as an actor, notably ABC’s Ryan’s Hope & opposite Robert Sean Leonard in Romeo & Juliet. As a journalist, she has covered everything from dollhouses, birdhouses, beauty, brownies, & brides, in outlets such as the New York TimesCountry LivingWoman's Day, NBC’s Style Goes Strong and an array of gardening magazines. She’s a passionate paleographer & the author of Botanical Shakespeare from HarperCollins.
