Over the last 200 years, the Dallas area has morphed from a tall grass prairie to one of the most urbanized areas west of the Mississippi River.  As a result, the species of wildlife found in Dallas has changed.

The Lakewood Library welcomes Brett Johnson, North Texas Master Naturalist and local Urban Biologist for the Dallas Parks and Recreation Department, as he talks about our local wildlife population: those we have lost and those who have flourished in their new urban habitat.  Also, he will discuss how we can avoid potential conflict issues in the future.
