For birdwatchers and bird enthusiasts of all levels!

Snowbirds to Texans usually refer to people vacationing here to escape the cold where they live, but did you know that aside from our Winter Texan friends, we have Wintering Sparrows?

Every year in North Texas, a variety of sparrow species return to their seasonal wintering grounds, and their camouflaged appearances make them difficult birds to ID. We are partnering with Trinity River Audubon Center to learn how to identify these camouflaged sparrows, understand their unique differences, and find out about the local hotspots where you can spot them.

No binoculars necessary, we'll bring the birds to you (virtually).

This program is available online only. Registration is required. Details and links on how to participate will be emailed on the day of the program, about an hour before the start time. Emails may go to your spam folder.
