When you think of the 4th of July, what do you typically think of besides fireworks and hot dogs? The Founding Fathers? Well, not anymore!

In celebration of Independence Day, learn about women's role during the American Revolution from Dr. Sara T. Damiano, Assistant Professor of History at Texas State University. Dr. Damiano’s research specializes in women’s financial activities in early America, including while their husbands were away at war.

Together we will explore the contributions of both famous and lesser-known women during the American Revolution. Join us to discover how women seized opportunities, responded to challenges, and voiced political opinions as the United States became an independent nation.

This program is available online only via Zoom.
