The written word goes back many thousands of years, and Certified Archivist Brandon Murray will discuss that "storied" history, citing examples from the Dallas Public Library's Fine Books Collection.  The journey will continue with modern examples of the benefits of leisure reading in anticipation of the Summer Reading initiatives at the Dallas Public Library.
