Are you new to watercolor painting? Want to learn the fundamentals every artist needs to start their journey?
Then come join us as we provide an introduction to basic painting tools and techniques. We will explore the process of watercolor painting through proper set up, maintenance, and technique use.
Please bring your own artist 8.5in x 11in sketchbook.
Young Artists: Watercolor Painting will be held weekly on scheduled weekend dates. Seating for accompanying parents/guardians will be provided.
Ages for attendees must be from 8 to 15.

This is the 2nd of an 8 session class, once confirmed you will be able to attend Young Artists: Watercolor Painting from 12:00pm - 1:00pm for the following 8 weekly scheduled classes.
There are only 10 seats available and have been filled. If you are interested in future classes please email: irving.bolanos@dallas.gov to be notified once classes are available for sign ups.
You will be sent a confirmation email once your seat has been reserved. If you were not sent an email confirmation you will be placed on the waiting list and will be notified when sign ups begin again.
- We will be having the class on the 4th floor of the J Erik Jonsson Library inside the Lillian M Bradshaw Gallery.
- The class is for ages 8 to 15 only, we ask attendees not to bring any guests as space and supplies are limited. Minors are to be accompanied by an adult guardian.
- You do not need to bring any supplies however a standard 8.5in x 11in artist sketchbook is required for review and painting class planning.
- A list of recommended art supplies will be provided to confirmed participants.
