The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Library Out Loud partnering with Big Thought presents a 1 hour STEM hands on program for school age kids.  Come and be a part of the fun here at Vickery Park Branch Library.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers.

We're crafting chicks using the technique of quilling! Quilling involves using strips of paper that are rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create different shapes, and glued together to create decorative designs.
