Meet some fine feathered friends courtesy of Blackland Prairie Raptor Center and learn more about the birds they conserve and protect. Live birds will be brought along so we're taking this program to the great outdoors.
The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.
Kids and teens will be provided with a quiet, relaxed environment in which to complete homework and school assignments for at least an hour each week. Library staff will be on hand to assist and answer questions as needed.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers.

We have invited the Perot Museum of Nature and Science to bring their Tech Truck to the library for our kids to have an opportunity to engage in hands-on STEM activities.
