Thursdays afterschool we explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through fun and creative projects!

Recommended for ages 6 to 11 years old.

Refuel afterschool with a free, nutritious meal provided by Education PV. Open to ages 0-18. Meals are made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school STEAM crafts while getting to make new friends. 

All materials will be provided and you can take home your creations!

Do you enjoy playing mobile games?  If so, great the Dallas Public Library has the program for you.  Visit the Lancaster-Kiest branch for ipad gaming.  During this program children can play Mario, Sonic and Racing games.

In this hands-on science program, young learners will become mini meteorologists as they explore the fascinating world of clouds and weather.

Want to learn how to play your favorite instrument? Get started with FREE weekly classes taught by our top-notch instructors at your local library!

Need a little extra support as you prepare for the GED? Our bilingual tutoring class is a space where you can ask questions, get extra practice, and receive help with anything related to the GED.

Ignite your child's curiosity with our hands-on STEM program designed for kids ages 6–11!

All participants must be registered individually. 

Make an impression by exploring the art of DIY printmaking using simple, accessible materials to create unique prints and patterns.

Each class features beginner level instructions in guitar by an experienced instructor. Instruments provided. Great for ages 8 - 18. For the best learning experience, students should try to attend as many sessions as possible.

Bring your craft project and socialize while you work. Portable, unplugged crafts of all types welcome. 

If you don't have a project, library staff can teach the basics of crochet! 

Learn to play Dungeons and Dragons-

Do you like reading books from a variety of genres? Want to start digging a little deeper into the books you read?

Network, hangout, and support other jobseekers. Get guidance from library staff! 

Come prepared to swap résumés and cover letters, practice common interview questions, and learn from your peers.

Practice your Spanish conversational skills at this casual weekly meetup.

This program is open to Spanish language learners of all levels.

Ukulele club is for anyone aged 13 and up who wants to work on their ukulele skills, learn new songs, socialize with other musicians, and just jam out. No prior experience required.
