Theater Club Needs You!

The Youth Discovery Center is looking for young actors of all experience levels to join the Theater Club.

As part of our Family Fun Saturdays program we do something fun for the whole family one Saturday every month!

Slay monsters, gather treasure and go on adventures with friends old and new! Dungeons & Dragons sessions, led by Thomas Acebo, meet every second and fourth Saturday of the month. 

Paint a beautiful bouquet of delicate lavender flowers using cotton swabs as your paint brush. Learn how to use the shape of the cotton swab to create realistic petals and leaves. 

A story time for big kids, with crafts! Perfect for ages 5-8.

Do you want to learn how to play chess?  Are you a chess enthusiast or looking for someone to play against? Then come check out Mountain Creek our Chess Club! Chess boards are provided.

Refuel afterschool with a free nutritious super snack for ages 1-18. Meals are made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Child and Education PV.

As we celebrate the tenants of Earth Day all month long, we will be using our reduce, reuse, recycle skills for our crafts. During this after school craft, we will used enhanced paper rolls and paint to "roll out" fun and pretty designs.

Learn about Samuel F.B. Morse and uncover his alphabet to produce a personalized bead bracelet.

Join us for board games at the library! Bring your friends for a fun-filled day of classic and new board games.

Make your own earth shaped seed bomb to celebrate Earth Day!  Seed bombs are an eco-friendly way to grow flowers.

Bill the Bear lives with his friends in the woods and writes brilliant plays for the Glade Theatre. His latest play is a huge success, but then the problems start....

Learn about the wonders of water in this fun STEAM activity! Using materials such plastic cups, paper towels and food coloring, learn how water moves through materials!

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school crafts while getting to make new friends. 

All materials will be provided and you can take home your creations!

In this hands-on, interactive workshop, kids will create their own bird feeders while learning concepts behind the project such as engineering, biology of local bird species, and the environmental benefits of feeding wildlife.
