Join the Perot Museum STEM Club for an exciting, hands-on learning experience! In these sessions, children will explore robotics, engineering, art, and coding through fun and interactive activities.

We have two special guests coming today. A REAL otter and a REAL sloth! Learn some fun facts about these two very different amazing animals and there will be time after to take a picture with the sloth. 

Today we are wrapping up Sports Week by learning about Unusual Sports! 

Imagine you're an archaeologist as you play with out set of giant foam dinosaur bones! 

Kids are invited to come to the library for a specialized reading time. They can get to know new friends, earn reading time and activity time for SMART summer reading, and even do a craft or two. Don't miss out on the summer fun!

Ready to dig into history? Paleo Science takes you back in time to the age of dinosaurs! Kids will create their own salt dough fossils and learn about how these ancient creatures left their mark.

Light up your creativity! Design and color a stunning stained-glass-inspired artwork that looks beautiful.

Nature is full of natural and inspiring colors and artistic patterns. Clothing and costumes are often inspired by the gorgeous patterns of cheetahs, zebras and other animals. Bright colors of bird feathers are popular in fashion and rituals.

The Junior Players' Discover Theater Camp is a free, two week long class for children 7-14 years of age. The camp focuses on learning basic theatrical skills and culminates in the creation of an original theatrical piece.

Facilitated by the Perot Museum, the TECH Truck staff will bring supplies and materials for hands-on learning focused on Tinkering, Engineering, Creating and Hacking (TECH) for students during the summer. 

The Pleasant Grove community is invited to come and beautify the outside of the library!

There will be rock painting to decorate the outside and chalk art to decorate the sidewalks!

Coloring at the library is like a mini adventure! Grab some crayons, markers, or colored pencils and let your creativity run wild while surrounded by the quiet, peaceful vibe of books.

In this STEM challenge, kids will create a Hexbug maze using straws, tape, and posterboard! It’s a super easy STEM activity to set up and gives children the opportunity to plan, build, and problem-solve.

Increase your student's reading skills this summer with Book Buddies!  Students entering 2nd through 5th grades will be paired with a trained volunteer for one-on-one reading sessions.
