Learn and hear about the history that led up to independence!

Did you know it wasn't just Mexico that gained independence this month? September is a month full of Independence Day celebrations for many Latin American countries and what we will be learning about today. Dr. Carla Pezzi and Dr. Mark Petersen from the Latin American Studies program with the University of Dallas will discuss the different countries, the histories that led up to their liberation, and how Independence Day(s) is celebrated today.

Celebrate Independence September!

This program is brought to you by the Hispanic Association of City Employees for Results (HACER) in part with the City of Dallas' Diversity Celebration and in partnership with the Dallas Public Library. The program will be held via Zoom, and will be online only, the link to the zoom call will be sent out on the DAY OF the program.
