Afternoon STEM! Create a Simple Motor

Primary tabs

Program Description

Event Details

The kids will learn about electric currents and magnetic fields. During this program, the kids will use a AA battery, a piece of copper wire and a stack of neodymium disc magnets to create a  simple motor. The battery supplies an electric current that flows through the wire to generate a magnetic field. The neodymium disc magnets supply a second magnetic field that interacts with the first. This applies force to the copper wire which causes it to move.
