Art in the Style of...Roy Lichtenstein

This month’s Art in the Style of… features bold color, crisp linework, and high-energy comic book inspiration drawn from Roy Lichtenstein. Participants will create striking pop art compositions using graphic imagery, high-contrast color palettes, and Lichtenstein’s signature Ben-Day dot technique while exploring how ordinary moments can be transformed into bold, larger-than-life visuals a hallmark of the Pop Art movement associated with artists such as Andy Warhol. Experiment with pattern, repetition, and storytelling through image and text with a focus on building visually dynamic compositions that feel loud, playful, and eye-catching. Each participant will leave with a finished piece that is vibrant, graphic, and impossible to ignore.
