Event Details
Bodhi Day, also known as Rohatsu in Japan, is a day of reflection, meditation, and mindfulness. In our special celebration, we invite adults to immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere of meditation and engage in the creative act of painting the Tree of Enlightenment—a symbol of wisdom and enlightenment.
Experience the tranquility of our dedicated meditation area. Meditate in a peaceful and contemplative environment to reflect on your own path to enlightenment and inner peace.
Participants will receive guidance to create their own Tree of Enlightenment paintings. This symbolic artwork represents the wisdom and growth within.
Learn about the significance of the Bodhi tree, the lotus flower, and other symbols associated with Buddhism and enlightenment. Incorporate these symbols into your artwork to give it a deeper meaning.
Share your experiences and reflections with fellow participants if you wish. This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and deepen your understanding of Bodhi Day.
This program is open to adults of all backgrounds and beliefs who are interested in meditation, self-reflection, and creative expression. Please bring your own meditation cushion or mat if desired.
