Collin County Genealogical Society is committed to helping all researchers discover their roots by presenting educational programs. 

February's Meeting: News Flash! What’s In This Edition? Researching Newspapers: Denominational, Ethnic, Secular, Trades & Others: Resources & Discoveries
Births, marriages, deaths, wedding anniversaries and local "gossip" are just some of the items to be found in the newspapers and can be found online. Secular, Denominational, Ethnic & Trade are a wealth of information with occupations, church news, news from the motherland. Learn tools available for locating newspapers and accessing these valuable sources digitally from around the country including non-digitized editions, with many available for free access.

CCGS program meetings featuring guest speakers are on the second Wednesday of each month September - June from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are both in-person and through Zoom. Check the CCGS page to get the Zoom link for the monthly program.
