Program Description

Event Details

Frida teaches Mexican and Indigenous folk visual art, as well as reflective visual art. Through the visual arts, children improve their confidence, patience, and communication skills, as well as their attention span and effort levels. They develop their motor skills and creativity by exploring concepts and elements of design. They also expand their appreciation for the arts. Visual arts classes will help students connect with their cultural roots and develop pride in their own culture, as well as establish intercultural connections that foster an appreciation for the rich diversity of other cultures.

This program is funded by the Office of Arts and Culture.
