Growing things is a labor of love. The smell of springtime earth and seedlings is soon coming our way and getting started early with your garden preparation is the best plan.

What do you like best? Is it the possibility of a garden of herbs, flowers, vegetables or a combination? This presentation from a special green thumb and Dallas County Master Gardener, Stephen Seewoester, outlines the first steps to take. It covers basic garden needs as well as what to grow, where to locate a garden, and where to get more information. Let’s plan your garden!

Stephen speaks on how to plan a garden, whether it is for herbs, flowers, or vegetables: growing and using salad greens; and how to build a compost bin and use compost in your yard and garden.
