Please join us for an overview of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) which is the state’s environmental regulatory agency. The agency has approximately 2800 employees located in its central office in Austin, and 16 regional offices.
Alyssa Taylor is the Regional Director for the Dallas/Fort Worth Region of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Alyssa received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and started as an Air Investigator in the DFW Region in 1999. In 2001, she was promoted to Team Leader in the Air Section and in 2006 she was promoted to Air Section Manager. In 2013 she assumed the role of Assistant Regional Director and then in 2019 she became the Regional Director. As the Regional Director, she is responsible for the Air, Water and Waste programs for the region.
Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas). These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.
