Event Details

Let’s learn about what you should and shouldn’t compost and ways to get started at home! With a lot of falling leaves all around, putting together a pile of leaves is a great way to begin a compost pile outdoors. The most nutritious and active compost contains four things: air, water, “brown” materials such as leaves or paper bags, and “green” materials such as lime peelings or onion tops. See you soon to find out more about composting.

Earth Kids is a series of monthly in person programs with hands-on activities with the Dallas Public Library and The Office of Environmental Quality and Sustainability. The program is aimed at kids 14 and under encouraging them to become environmentalists and learn different ways to take care of the planet.
