Discover the secrets of Diagon Alley and celebrate Harry Potter Book Night! 

Harry Potter Book Night is a global event that takes place each year and is a chance for everyone to join together to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s wonderful series. And there's a chance to win some spectacular prizes, like special edition copies of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Download your copy of a coloring page of Diagon Alley made especially for this event! Craft Kit instructions and supply list are available for download. Craft kits are available at select branches (Fretz-Park, Prairie Creek, Skillman Southwest, North Oak Cliff, Audelia Road, and Renner Frankford. Contact these branches to request a kit and pickup times.) Kit's available while supplies last. 

 

You've just received your letter of admission to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But before school starts, it's time for a trip to Diagon Alley to get your school supplies. It's your first visit though, so you'll need a guide and a tour! 

6:30- Meet with your student guide, Adrianne before exploring Diagon Alley

Then head to:

6:40- Ollivander's  to pick out your wand with Cara as she shows you how to make your own wand.

  • Supplies needed for at-home wand-making: Chopstick/pencil or a stick, hot glue and hot glue gun, paint

6:45- Slugs & Jiggers Apothecary   for your potions class supplies.

6:55- Flourish & Blotts  where we will make a copy of our very own Monster Book of Monsters.

  • Supplies needed for at-home bookmaking: Brown, white, and red felt, glue, googly eyes, and scissors (contact your branch to request your craft kit, while supplies last)

7:10- The Leaky Cauldron  for a quick snack.

7:15- Madam Milkin's Robes for all Occasions  to make bracelets representative of our Hogwarts house.

  • Supplies for at-home bracelet making: Yarn (in house colors) and tape (contact your branch to request your craft kit, while supplies last)

7:25- Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour  for a power-up with a Butterbeer milkshake.

7:30-Weasley's Wizard Wheezes  for a fun game of Trivia! 

 

 

But let's not forget about withdrawing some coins from Gringotts. come back at 8PM for "Escape Gringotts" a virtual choose-your-adventure program. 

And you won't want to go to school without a pet! Visit Eyelope's Owl Emporium Saturday at 11 a.m.
