Family Day: AAPI History Month

This month is designated the Asian American Pacific Islander History month which celebrates the culture of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islander Americans. The term "Asian/Pacific" encompasses all of the Asian continent and the Pacific islands. 

For family day we are going to learn about some of the history and traditions of a few of these countries. We will learn the art of fans and making our own folding fans, learn to play the Pakistani game Goli Pila, make a navigational chart in the style of the Marshallese, and test ourselves at a flag matching game.
