Event Details
A person can pick up a life skill at any age but the earlier they start the more they get out of it. Learning life skills takes time, the journey is just as important at the destination. These skills can build and improve upon focus, attention to detail, and confidence.
June's life skill is Crocheting.
We will focus on learning grip and hook position, the basics of a magic circle (the most important part of any amigurumi project), and 3 basic stitches (single, increase, and decrease). The kids will use what they learn to work their way into creating a fun little strawberry buddy that they can play with and take pride in how awesome their completely 100% self-made toy turned out.
The class is set for an hour to take into consideration a child's attention span as building focus takes time and patience. Any follow up sessions to complete their project will be discussed towards the end of class based on rate of progression. Crocheting is not a skill learned and perfected in one sitting, if they are interested in crocheting past the designated class time, please let us know so we can gauge interest for more classes on this subject.
