The mission of the Texas Children in Nature Network is to ensure equitable access and connection to nature for all children in Texas. Helping provide access to all the amazing places around Texas starts with letting everyone know about them. Fall is a fantastic time to reconnect with the great outdoors as Mother Nature starts getting the landscape and the wildlife around us ready for winter. Get out your bucket list of places to visit and Sarah Coles, the Executive Director of Texas Children in Nature, has her list ready, too. Where will the adventure take you? Join her as she encourages children and families to become healthier, happier, and more knowledgeable about our natural world.
Sarah Coles is the Executive Director for Texas Children in Nature Network. Professionally Sarah has been working within the Informal education system for the last fourteen years. Sarah’s career has taken her from being in the classroom for two years, to moving informal education and working at various institutions across the country. After focusing mainly on EcoHistory (the study of how humans have adapted and influenced their environment), she found her passion for seeing students, children and families interact with nature.
Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas). These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.
This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.
