This workshop will help parents understand the benefits of consistent occupational and physical therapy for individuals living with autism.

Occupational therapists study human growth and development and a person’s interaction with the environment through daily activities. They are experts in the social, emotional, and physiological effects of illness and injury. This knowledge helps them promote skills for independent living in people with autism and other developmental disorders.  Physical therapy may be an option for children with autism who need help developing age-appropriate motor skills, have low muscle tone, or have problems with physical systems such as breathing control. Older autistic children can also benefit from carefully constructed exercise programs, which may be led by a physical therapist.

Parents will be able to ask questions that will help them create a good plan to assist them in getting the proper care for their child.  Join us by registering today!
