According to the Alzheimer's Association, the number of Americans living with Alzheimer's is growing — and growing fast. An estimated 5.7 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. As the number of older Americans grows rapidly, so too will the number of new and existing cases of Alzheimer's. The program will address the issue and will inform participants that people can reduce their risk of cognitive decline by making key lifestyle changes, including participating in regular physical activity, staying socially engaged, and maintaining good heart health.
Healthy Living for your brain and body presentation is based on the most current research in healthy aging as well as new strategies for aging well, in each of the four areas- cognitive activity, physical health and exercise, diet and nutrition, and social engagement
