The road to publication can seem daunting with so much information to sift through and so many options. Thankfully, there’s an event happening that can help you navigate the path to publication, either through traditional means or self-publishing.
Saturday, October 13th is Indie Author Day, a day dedicated to self-published authors. On this day, libraries across North America, including the Dallas Public Library, are hosting events designed to bring local writing communities together to participate in author panels, workshops, presentations, and information sessions.

1 to 2 p.m. -Panel: Publication Panel (Art of Self-Publication)
2 to 3 p.m. – Workshops
- 2 to 2:30 p.m. – YA with Jane Harris (Held in the Writer's Room)
- 2 to 2:30 p.m. – Historical Fiction with Richard Gonzales
- 2:30 to 3 p.m. – Thriller with Larry Enmon
