This Kwanzaa event will celebrate the works of award-winning children's author and illustrator Jerry Pinkney.

Bring the entire family and immerse yourself in African dance, music, storytelling, Kwanzaa crafts and the works of other African-American children's authors.

At 1PM, children's author Erica Asante will read her published book Threads of Me: Kente for Show and Tell and showcase a Kente cloth with an arts and crafts activity.

At 2PM Movement Empress will preform an interactive West African dance and drum performance, come and be ready to move your body to the rhythm of the music!
