Why do apples turn brown? Why do vinegar and baking soda make bubbles? Learn all about every day science right in your very own kitchen with hands-on experiments.

Suggested materials for participating from home:

Apple Browning: 1 sliced apple, Baking Soda, Vinegar, Lemon Juice Milk

Balloon Blow Up: Empty plastic soda or water bottle, funnel or sheet of paper, small balloon, baking soda, Vinegar

Dancing Colors: Milk, Dish washing liquid, 3 different food colorings, Q-tip, small plate or shallow bowl

Clean Pennies: Old dirty pennies, White Vinegar, Salt, Non-metal bowl, Paper towels

Lack-ium of Calcium: Left over chicken bones (or any bones cleared of meat), Glass jar with lid, Vinegar

Liquid Density: 4 clear cups, water, oil, corn syrup, food coloring, 4 small objects of different densities (ex. styrofoam, Lego, grape, nut/bolt)
