Talking Leaves: A Vessel to Hold Our Stories
Learn about Sequoyah, creator of the Cherokee syllabary, and how his invention helped preserve Cherokee language and culture. This interactive art and writing workshop explores the power of storytelling as a way to honor and record personal and community history. Participants will use writing prompts and simple bookmaking techniques to create a handmade journal to continue their own story collection.

This event is supported the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
