Why is my friend so scared of a little rain? Why does Grandma over-prepare every hurricane season?
Many people who have lived through natural disasters - or even simply live in an area that sees frequent inclement weather - may experience increased anxiety and trauma symptoms during rainstorms, bouts of low temperatures, and other "normal" weather patterns. Mental Health America of Greater Dallas will join us to discuss how living through weather-related crises can affect an individual's mental health, share healthy coping skills for those who experience weather-related anxiety, and offer ways we can support friends and family who might experience symptoms.
