Event Details

Celebrate the Lunar New Year and the Year of the Snake with this family-friendly cultural festival! The Lunar New Year is one of the largest holidays in Chinese culture and is celebrated by billions of people worldwide.  

A variety of activities, performances and local vendors will be at the library to commemorate this important and widely celebrated holiday: 

  • Performances

  • Live Snake Meet and Greet - 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Asian Culture and Education Society USA 

    • Games and prizes 

    • Calligraphy demonstrations 

  • Tea station 

  • Face painting - 10 to 11:30 a.m. and 12 to 1 p.m.

  • Wishing tree 

    • Cast your wish for the new year into a tree to see if it will come true! 

  • Snake and lantern-themed crafts 

  • Local Vendor booths 

    • Shop a variety of goods from Asian-owned and other local businesses 

  • Food
