Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli Aztec Dancers

In honor of Indigenous Peoples month we have invited Evelio Flores and his dance group, Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli. 

La Danza Mexihka (Azteca) is a living, evolving, and cultural tradition filled with the artistic and spiritual tradition of the Mexihka. This performance will introduce the audience to the rich blend of music, choreography, poetry, theater, and a deeply held spiritual faith. Dancers will demonstrate their regalia, headdresses, and musical instruments sharing mind expanding experiences that reflect the cultural heritage of Mexico and Aztlan. 

This event is held in collaboration with the Collaboration Artisits Program which is part of the Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
