Event Details

Join us for an afternoon of storytelling, games and crafts as we celebrate the indigenous history of our region. 

Before settlers arrived in Texas, this region was home to more than 50 distinct tribal nations. We will honor these nations by showcasing oral histories and art inspired by diaspora. Participants will learn how to greet their friends in Navajo, play pre-contact games, and design their own Navajo blanket and mini canoe.

This event is free and open to all, whether you are here to Rock Your Mocs or just to learn about the diverse cultures that have inhabited our beautiful nation.
