Recipes hold history—histories of our family, the lands they come from, and of survival.
Collecting family recipes preserves our family history and give context to the lives our families lived, helping us create richer histories beyond your basic genealogy research.
Using a specially-created zine workbook, participants will be guided through best practices by Genealogy & History staff for preserving their family recipes. Everyone will leave with a plan before winter holidays and gatherings, of how to best capture your favorite family recipes.
This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library and the General Levi Casey Chapter, NSDAR.
