Are you trying to start a small business or non-profit, and have questions about obtaining trademark protection and/or navigating other start-up legal issues? Attorney Kandace Walter, Director/Adjunct Professor for the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Small Business and Trademark Clinic, will be on-hand via Zoom to answer general questions to help guide you on your way.

The SMU Dedman School of Law legal clinic program encompasses ten specialized community clinics and projects where, under the supervision of clinic directors, SMU law students serve as advocates on behalf of the community in many areas of the law.  The Small Business and Trademark Clinic accepts applications from community members in need of legal service but who are unable to afford a lawyer, handling mainly LLC formation, nonprofit formation, state and federal trademarks and contracts.  For further information, please see:
