Celebrate Pride with a Dive into Camp Culture!

Come listen and learn from a special presentation by SMU Professor Sean Griffin, "Camp: The History of the Secret Language of LGBTQ Communities," followed by a screening of But I'm a Cheerleader (rated R). (Please be aware that the film being screened is rated R)

Enjoy hands-on crafts like crocheted hearts, monotype prints, friendship bracelets, and tissue paper art—all representing self and community. Staff will be available to assist you with these crafts!

Itinerary: 

12pm -  12:30pm: Sean Griffin Presentation

12:45pm - 2:30pm: But I'm a Cheerleader (rated R)

12:45pm - 3pm: Craft stations in the Dallas East/West room. Stay and watch the film or come and craft with us!

 

Parking: Event parking is free in the library's parking garage. The entrance is located behind the library, on Wood. St. (Put 1541 Wood St. into your GPS.)
