Storytelling The African Way is a program that focuses on the oral tradition of storytelling within the African culture. Through interactive storytelling and historical referencing, students learn how the African culture uses characters, drums, rhythms, and language to tell stories of morality, integrity, and learning.
In this 60 minute presentation, students are engaged to learn and create their own story with the assistance of the Teaching Artist to better understand the oral tradition.
Best for ages 5 and up.
