Join the Secret Society of Children's Books at the Dallas Public Library for the Tale of Peter Rabbit. A program for adults, families and children showcasing the rare first edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter owned by the Dallas Public Library. Learn about the history behind the making of the book and how the Dallas Library acquired one of the few remaining copies self-published by the author. Meet live rescued bunnies from the North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary and discuss the care and rescue of rabbits. The Secret Society of Children's Books is an ongoing series of programs dedicated to rare and historical items from the Dallas Public Library’s Siddie Joe Johnson Childrens Literature collection.
