Semillitas by Ofelia Faz-Garza

In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Vickery Park branch is pleased to announce that on September 22nd, we have the pleasure of hosting a visual art workshop from Ofelia Faz-Garza.

Workshop Name: “Semillitas”

These workshops incorporate the creation of literary works (writing of
poetry, short stories, comic strips, recipes, family stories, etc.) with
paper crafts (simple book-making, zines, collages, broadsides, etc.).
The workshops can be stand-alone or for several sessions creating
complex pieces. Participants will take away their creations capturing
their stories and seeing how those fit into the greater Dallas narrative.
