Event Details

Get a taste of the renaissance fair without leaving Dallas! Step back in time and indulge in the sights, sounds and flavors of the Renaissance era with a literary bent. Enjoy live music, artisanal crafts, colorful costumes and interactive activities for all ages. Celebrate a day of merriment and discovery as we explore the joys of Shakespeare!

 

Itinerary 

 

Performances:

12:00 – 1:00 PM - HEMA Alliance (Historic European Martial Arts)

1:00 – 2:00 PM - Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (Falconry Demonstration) 

 

Crafts:

12:00 – 1:00 PM - Is it Shakespeare or is it AI? 

12:00 – 1:00 PM - Pretty Pretty Princess Hats

12:30 – 1:00 PM - Make Your Own Healing Balm 

1:00 – 2:00 PM - Ren Day Art Studio

1:30 – 2:00 PM - Make Your Own Healing Balm 

2:00 – 3:00 PM - Paint Your Own Dragon

1:15 – 1:45 PM - Bard for a Day: DIY Shakespearean ruff

Parking: Event parking is free in our library parking garage. The entrance is located behind the library, on Wood. St. (Put 1541 Wood St. into your GPS.). The library parking garage has limited spaces and will be first-come, first-served. Street parking and paid lots are available all around the downtown Dallas area.

Cost: All activities are free, but vendors will charge for items they are selling, and food will have a cost. 

Costumes: Just like at any Ren Faire, costumes are encouraged! 

 

Registration isn't required but is used to ensure we have enough supplies with vendors.
