Become a "Friend" of your neighborhood greenspace and help shape its future!

Trust for Public Land and Dallas Park and Recreation are looking to help interested neighbors establish a "Friends of" Group for the future greenspace at Lake June Rd. We’re inviting neighbors and community members to join us on September 16 at the Pleasant Grove Branch Library for a Park Stewardship Workshop. Come meet your neighbors, learn how to form a Friends group, and find out about potential funding opportunities for park stewardship!

All neighbors, family, and friends are invited. Free food, snacks, and beverages will be provided!

What is a "Friends of" Group?

"Friends of" groups are volunteer-led neighborhood groups that help care for and advocate for their local greenspace. They can help organize clean-ups and events, advocate for improvements, and serve as the voice of the community to help the space grow and thrive.
Why join? You can help your greenspace reach its full potential with your ideas, energy, and care. Whether you're ready to lead, help organize, or volunteer when you can—you'll be making a difference right here at home!
