The Urban Biologist visiting White Rock Hills Branch will give an interesting presentation called "Wildlife of Dallas: The Change.
Wildlife of Dallas: The Change”Over the last 200 years, the Dallas area has morphed from a tall grass prairie to one of the most urbanized areas west of the Mississippi River. As a result, the species of wildlife found in Dallas has changed. We will be looking at how we have lost some species, but have seen other species flourish. The traits that make species that flourish in urban areas will be discussed, along with what this mean for planning to avoid potential conflict issues in the future.
