The  “A to Z Proposal Writing and Grant Research “ class will teach you how to develop and write your proposal as well as how to do the research to find funding for your program.  Tanya Allen, a proposal writer with more than 27 years of experience, will offer a beginning level overview of the grant process.  You will learn how to select your program or project, the elements of a proposal, the importance of your outcome and evaluation sections, future support, deadlines and the proposal format used by most foundations.  She will also discuss what to expect after your proposal is submitted and what to do when your proposal is awarded or declined.

The second part of the class will introduce you to basic funding sources for your programs, including private and corporate foundations, the government and association and neighborhood groups.  We will discuss what you need to know about grant makers and how to identify the right funding partners.

The class is free, however seating is limited.  To register for the class please send an email to juan.bosquez@dallascityhall.com or call 214-670-1468.
