Backpack Giveaway and Thanksgiving Celebration

Event Details

The Dallas Public Library will celebrate Thanksgiving with 5th Annual Backpack Giveaway. Adults experiencing homelessness who participate will receive a new or gently used backpack with the following items:

  • New or gently used backpack
  • Gloves
  • Winter hat
  • Rain poncho
  • Socks
  • Scarf
  • Fleece blanket
  • Deck of playing cards
  • Water bottle
  • Note of encouragement
  • Travel sized toiletries

Participants can stay to enjoy morning snacks and holiday music.
