The warm days are here, and school is almost out! Is nature calling you to spend more family time outdoors and are you looking for a new place to enjoy and explore? Find out where these locations are hidden. Texas Children in Nature Network (TCiNN) is an organization with the mission to get families off the couch and outside to enjoy nature. Join, TCiNN’s Executive Director, Sarah Coles, as she directs you to places across Texas where families can cruise around the state, camp, walk, play, and get in touch with nature. And, most of it is not far from home.
Sarah Coles is the Executive Director for Texas Children in Nature Network. Professionally Sarah has been working within the Informal education system for the last fourteen years. Sarah’s career has taken her from being in the classroom for two years, to moving informal education and working at various institutions across the country. After focusing mainly on EcoHistory (the study of how humans have adapted and influenced their environment), she found her passion for seeing students, children and families interact with nature.
Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas). These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.
This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.
