Learn to play American Mahjong!

You are invited to attend free GED preparation classes at the Dallas Public Library. You can register in class, and no ID is required. 

The intent of this class is to present the basic elements of music theory beginning with rhythm, notation, scales, and intervals to children ages 6-12. Ideas will be presented through a series of fun games, worksheets and other activities.

Learn how to read music, understand chord and melodic theory, and to play the piano or keyboard. Participants are encouraged to attend a weekly class, but can join at any time.  

We're gearing up for an Ocean of Possibilities this summer. Come learn about ocean zones and liquid density while making an Ocean Zones jar.

Members-Only Book Sale for Skillman Southwestern Library Friends (SSLF).  Thousands of gently-used, donated books and much more at very low prices!  Join SSLF at the door, $10.

Refuel afterschool with a free, nutritious meal provided by Equal Heart. Open to ages 0-18. Meals are made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Your Move! Let's Play a Game! Tuesdays, 4 to 6 p.m. 7th to 12th graders - join us after school for board games of all kinds. Brain Games, Dominoes, Uno, Skip Bo, Bubble Talk, Chess, Uno and more....

Children take turns reading aloud for a minute or two to the leader. They get a small prize each time they read. Great practice for struggling readers, those who need to project, and those who need to slow down.
