The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.
Join us for FREE weekly music classes with top-notch instructors at your local library! Instruments will be provided for use during class.
Movie Wednesday!
Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, we will have a movie screening for all teens, tweens, and school-age kids starting at 3 p.m. The movie changes every month!
All films will be rated G or PG.
Kids and teens will be provided with a quiet, relaxed environment in which to complete homework and school assignments for at least an hour each week. Library staff will be on hand to assist and answer questions as needed.

Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 until October 15.
Every week Arcadia Park will have a different themed craft for kids to work on. The craft will be out after school every day, each week.
Wednesdays at 4pm will be the keyboard class with an emphasis on music theory!

Create your own looming masterpiece! This looming workshop takes inspiration from the loomed potholders we all made in Girl Scouts.

The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a children’s choice literary award for Texas children (grades 3 - 6) to vote for their favorite title from the 20 nominated. If they read 5, they will vote for their favorite at their school in January.

We will create our own Rainbow Scratch-Off Bookmarks! Everyone will etch their designs into a black bookmark to reveal the shiny rainbow underneath.
Let's make our own city! This week will be making houses, apartments, and roads. Join us to create a town of your own that will be displayed in the library!
Each class features beginner level instructions in guitar by an experienced instructor. Instruments provided. Great for ages 8 - 18. For the best learning experience, students should try to attend as many sessions as possible.
