The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Crafternoons every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the Vickery Park Branch Library!    

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. 

Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 until October 15.

Every week Arcadia Park will have a different themed craft for kids to work on.  The craft will be out everyday afterschool, all week.

Welcome Fall! We will be making coasters and/or seasonal decorations to welcome the cooler weather and all things Autumn. 

Remember that caregivers are required to stay with their child(ren) throughout the program. 

Each class features beginner level instructions in guitar by an experienced instructor. Instruments provided. Great for ages 8 - 18. For the best learning experience, students should try to attend as many sessions as possible.
